What Equipment Do I Need For Video/Web Conferencing?

Our FreeConference video conferencing service works right inside your browser using WebRTC technology allowing you and your participants to dial in from their computer completely FREE via your Online Meeting Room. There is nothing to download and no need for your participants to register anywhere.

 

All that is necessary is:

- A computer, tablet, or smartphone*
- Either a headset or a microphone with speakers (we recommend a USB headset for Windows computers)
- A webcam
- Google Chrome browser OR the FreeConference App*


 

To use the service straight away, log in to your account online and click on ‘Start’. This will open a window giving you the option to join the call via your computer or telephone. Click on ‘Call by computer’, follow the instructions and click ‘Connect’. You may be prompted to share your webcam and microphone – choose the correct device and click ‘Share selected device’. Your call will now begin.

*Video conferencing can be done using the Chrome browser on your computer or Android mobile device as well as using our downloadable App for desktop (macOS & Windows) and Android mobile devices. Google Chrome and all FreeConference apps can be downloaded here.
